or, this is what it feels like to use Kinja.
this was the very first scrape too. had to finish the entire car by hand with the part that broke off.

Remote starts can save all of this anger, frustration and doing shit by hand.
I have one and my ass is warm, windows clean, warmed up car with minimal window cleaning.

My heat and defrost are programmed to come on at RS. Also, the heated seats. That's nice.

I got a Honda Fit, the heated seats are aftermarket, the defrost if left on after you turn the car off will come on, so I leave the heat on too.
But other than leaving the stuff on, it's ready to go. I give it 15 mins outside and I really just have to wipe the melted snow off.
I just wish the car had heated outside mirrors so I could use them when its winter.

I just bought my second car with heated mirrors. Never going back. If nothing else, to get rid of that foggy crap that gets on there. Yes, I know I could just as easily take a cloth to it to wipe it off but I am too lazy for that nonsense.

Yea me too, I was at the auto parts store and found some spray de icer, it works decent enough for the mirrors.
If I was good with wiring and such, i'd find a way to get it, but alas, I'm a lazy SOB too.

Buy some of the purple windshield wash. Pour sparingly over window. Wait 20 seconds. Scrape with the greatest of ease.

I got a cheap can of de-icer at the dollar store that you just spray on but holy crap dude it works like a charms. Spray the entire windshield, and by the time you get back into the car it's all melted and you can turn on the wipers to wipe it away. Just look for a cheap can of de-icer and be amazed.

Not if you drive a crap can like me, and don't have floor heat, or rear defrost.

It's a Honda Fit with aftermarket heated seats? Everything works and it's Jalop-worthy manual trans is equipped.

Oh. I didnt mean to imply you had a crap can. I have a crap can.

Is it a crapcan to me, just a beater now. Between my S/C LSX truck and BMW, it's a beater. The heated seats were 150 installed so I figured why not.

Nice. As I said on my wishlist is rear defrost and floor heat lol.
